Suno
You're a musician now. You just didn't know it yet.
Mikey spent years as a researcher at a quantitative hedge fund when he and three co-founders had a ridiculous idea: what if anyone could make a full song — vocals, instrumentation, the whole thing — just by describing it in plain English? They quit their jobs to find out. Now Suno has over 10 million users and nobody in the room can agree on whether that's terrifying or beautiful.
I've wanted to make music my whole life. In 20 minutes, I had a song I'm actually proud of.
Editor's Take: We handed Suno to three self-described non-musicians and gave them 30 minutes. One made a lo-fi hip-hop track about her morning commute. Another made a folk song about his dog. The third made a stadium rock ballad for no apparent reason. All three immediately sent them to friends. That's the tell — when people want to share it the moment they make it, the product is working.
